Proliant 2000 to Compaq Proliant 4500 with 4 Pentiums running SCO-UNIX MPX and SQL*Net V1 to SQL*Net V2.
Performance tuning of PeopleSoft Human Resources package ( overall performance gain is about 600% ), which includes
optimization of UNIX Kernel, Oracle INIT.ORA, Oracle SGA, Post Wait Driver, I/O balancing and memory.
Converted very slow and complicated views to tables and implemented database triggers to update them to achieve 1000%
performance improvement from PeopleSoft front-end. Also converted slow VB interfaces to PL*SQL stored procedures.
Implemented nightly cron jobs to print DBA reports and PeopleSoft validation SQRs, SQL and PL*SQL scripts.
Implemented nightly backup routines which includes database exports, tape backup and copying database files to the
development server for precautionary measures.

Implemented a menu-driven DBA tool to monitor and to get info on
users, free-space, extents, tablespaces, tables and indexes.
Documentation - includes UNIX kernel changes, backup and restoration strategies, database layout and reorg. of database.
Upgraded PeopleSoft from Ver 4.0 to Ver 5.0, which involved massive conversion of the database using PeopleSoft
tools and testing
the converted database and optimizing
